An all-round good time for the modern age of bike and rider: technical sections with rock rolls, steep off-camber corners, and a few pinch climbs as extra spice.
You need to be a regular rider of Chewbacca before you should consider taking it on. It’s not as steep and fast as Chewy, with the first half in particular containing a few punchy climbs which make sure you are earning your turns. But the features keep coming like a greatest hits album.
Caution… in there is a gnarly roll about 3/4 of the way down that takes full commitment. There is a B-line ride around if you don’t feel up to the task. The A-line is a roll and the rollout at the bottom is really well built and doesn’t have a hard compression. Just don’t get it wrong: it’s a four metre drop.

Off Ewok Road close to Jack and the Beanstalk and Arapuke Rd.
Getting out
From the Checkpoint Charlie Hub you can head back up Jack and the Beanstalk, across to the Culvert and Shuttle pick-up, or down to the car park via Karearea.
