Club Fun Days are great opportunities for families and riders who are new to mountain biking (or to our riding areas). They are perfect for those who just want to hang out and ride with other people. Fun Days are low-key and high-fun! Bring food for a picnic lunch. If you have kids, all the better – bring them, too.
There will be ride guides to introduce you to the Grade 2 and 3 trails. If you attended the Thursday skills sessions at Hardie Reserve, this is a great opportunity to see your coaches and refresh what you learned.
Where are Club Fun Days?
Arapuke MTB Park
Meet at the car park at the top of Scotts Road – turn off SH 57 a couple clicks past Linton. Take Scotts Road to the end; it is sealed part of the way and then metal for about 7k. Suitable for 2WD.
Foxton MTB Trails @ Target Reserve
Meet in the car park off SH1. The entrance is marked with a sign for the mountain bike trails. Follow the signs to the parking area.
If you have kids who are keen to ride but you’d rather not, this is a great opportunity. They can ride with others and you can help out with the picnic!
