Scott’s Ferry
Due to our agreement with Ernslaw, no alcohol can be consumed within the forest gate.
Scott’s Ferry trails have been developed by volunteers and are sand based which helps them to ride well in winter when other trails are too wet. The trails are sheltered by mature pine trees and are used for winter night rides, the club winter race series and the Sizzler (team race).
As the trails are in a commercial forest owned by Ernslaw riding is only approved for MMBC club members after 5.00 pm weekdays and all day on the weekends and public holidays. Riding outside these times has to be approved by the forest owner and applied for by the club.
The Scotts Ferry riding area includes the forest roads, 4WD tracks and the marked mountain bike trails on both sides of the main forest Road and does not extend past No.3 Road.
Directions
The Scotts Ferry riding area is in Santoft Forest, to get there turn off SH1 in the centre of Bulls into HIGH STREET. Head out of the built up housing area on High St which becomes Parewanui Road.
