SUMMARY:Foxton Fizzler
DESCRIPTION:6 September 2026\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThursday 15 January Members-only Club Shuttles\n\n\n\nThe Foxton Fizzler returns on Sunday 6 September 2026 — and this year we’re bringing a special Father’s Day twist to one of MMBC’s favourite events. \n\n\n\nHeld at Foxton MTB Trails @ Target Reserve\, the Foxton Fizzler (previously known as the Santoft Sizzler) is a fun and social relay event raced on the forest’s unique sand-based trails. The pine forest creates a sheltered microclimate that stays warmer and drier than many other riding venues\, so the event goes ahead in almost any weather. \n\n\n\nFor 2026\, riders will be able to choose between two race formats: \n\n\n\n\nA traditional five-hour relay. Yes\, you solo riders can do it alone. \n\n\n\n\n\nA new three-hour relay option\n\n\n\n\nThe five-hour race will start first\, with the three-hour event beginning two hours later so that all riders finish together. \n\n\n\nWe’re also introducing a special Father’s Day division for dads and their kids — a great excuse to team up and spend the day riding together. \n\n\n\nAs always\, the Foxton Fizzler is all about fun. There will be plenty of spot prizes\, awesome trophies for class winners\, and costumes are strongly encouraged. There are even prizes for the best dressed. E-bikes are welcome too. \n\n\n\nEarlier this year\, the February storm caused extensive damage throughout Target Reserve and many of the trails. MMBC volunteers and trail builders have been working hard to restore the network\, and we’re excited to welcome riders back for another memorable day in the forest. \n\n\n\n\nThings you need to know.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOnline entries close at 5pm on 4 September. To help make the event run smoothly\, please enter online!\n\n\n\nYou may enter on the day – cash only!\n\n\n\nRace start\, finish\, and village is at Foxton MTB Trails @ Target Reserve.\n\n\n\nThe event will run whether it is wet or fine.
