DESCRIPTION:14 December 2025\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClub Champs\n\n\n\n\n\nArapuke Enduro is Round 2 of the Wellington Enduro Series!!!! \n\n\n\nEveryone is welcome whether it’s your first Enduro or you are riding to be the Wellington Enduro Series champ (the hard course counts towards Wellington Enduro Series points).  \n\n\n\nNot sure how an Enduro works or a bit tentative to enter a race? We’ve got you covered. Join the gang at the back of the pack and take all the time you need. A tail-end Charlie will sweep down and make sure no one overtakes you. \n\n\n\nWant to participate as a Minder Rider for your child on the course? That’s cool. There is no cost to do that. Just choose “minder rider” when you enter. This option is only available for the Intermediate course. \n\n\n\nThe Intermediate course will have four stages of downhill fun. Be prepared for mostly Grade 3. There may be a Grade 4 thrown in but everything is rollable. Ready to send it on harder stuff? Then the Hard course is for you. It will have five stages of Grade 3\, 4\, 5 and 6 trails. It will be hard. \n\n\n\nYou can change your course choice on race day! \n\n\n\nAny questions? Email events@mmbc.co.nz \n\n\n\n\n\nA low-key prize giving will be held at the Kahuterawa carpark after the race. All riders are in for awesome spot prizes. \n\n\n\n\n\nYou can change your course selection on the day! \n\n\n\n\n\nAfter the race\, refuel at the BBQ at the Kahuterawa carpark. \n\n\n\n\n\nTiming\n\n\n\n\n\n\n7:30am –  Hard course rego opens\n\n\n\n8:30am – Hard course rego closes\n\n\n\n8:45am – Hard course race briefing\n\n\n\n9:00am – Hard course race starts\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n7:30am –  Intermediate course rego opens\n\n\n\n9:00am –  Intermediate course rego closes\n\n\n\n9:15am –  Intermediate course race briefing\n\n\n\n9:30am –  Intermediate course race start\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2:00pm – All courses close\n\n\n\nBBQ – When you’ve finished \n\n\n\n3:00pm – Prize giving\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER NOW!!!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRules & Course Details\n\n\n\n\n\nRules\n\n\n\n\nThe Arapuke Enduro will be run under the general rules of the UCI and MTBNZ.\n\n\n\nAll riders must wear a helmet that is correctly fitted. Full-face helmets are strongly recommended for ALL riders. \n\n\n\nAll repairs must be made by the rider.\n\n\n\nBike changes are not permitted.\n\n\n\nNo headphones to be worn while racing.\n\n\n\nThe Intermediate Course will have Grade 3 and 4 trails. Everything is rollable and has “B” lines.\n\n\n\nThe Hard Course will include Grade 3\, 4\, 5 and 6 trails.\n\n\n\nYou can enter either Intermediate or Hard; you select this when you enter but you can change on race day.\n\n\n\nCourses and order can change; keep an eye out on social and LISTEN at the race briefing. \n\n\n\nEbikers are allowed one bike and one battery per entrant. No extenders are permitted on large batteries. Small batteries may use an extender.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPassing Etiquette\n\n\n\n\nPlease use common sense and courtesy when passing and being passed.\n\n\n\nAll riders share the same track; there will be a wide range of speed and skills.\n\n\n\nThe rider in front has the right of way but must not unnecessarily impede a faster rider.\n\n\n\nA passing rider should call clearly when a passing opportunity arises and it is safe to pass.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIntermediate Course\n\n\n\nTrails may be changed due to weather. This will be announced at the briefing. You must ride the trails in order. You may choose your own transitions/liaisons. Trail descriptions can be found here and on Trailforks. \n\n\n\n\nStage 1: Te Ara Kaikohi from top to exit @Arapuke Road\n\n\n\nStage 2: About Time – Rocky Link – Riff Raff part 2 \n\n\n\nStage 3: Raewyn’s Rampage – Full \n\n\n\nStage 4: Mr Twister from Farside Road + Lower Twister\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHard Course\n\n\n\n\n\nTrails may be changed due to weather. This will be announced at the briefing. You must ride Raewyn’s Rampage first and you must finish with Mind the Gap\, Humpty Jumpty and Kissing Rock. The other trails may be ridden in any order. You may choose your own liaisons/transitions.
