How about a ticket to The Kaimanawa Descent???? \n \nWe have negotiated a special MMBC member discount rate of $350 per person on the 27 December for this wicked heli-biking adventure. There are three times to choose from: 11am\, 12 noon or 1pm. You must be at the base at least 45 minutes before your flight time.  \n \nWe need a minimum of 15 riders to get the special price. \n \nIf you are keen\, please register on Hello Club no later than 23 December. If we get 15\, Kaimanawa Alpine Adventures will get in touch with you for registration. Payment for the ride will be on the day. (If we don’t get 15\, the rate is $400 per person and we’ll let you know to register on the website if you want to go and you will need to pay in advance.) \n \nYou can read heaps more at kaa.co.nz but here’s a taster: \n \nThe Kaimanawa Descent is a 23km downhill mountain biking adventure designed for intermediate to advanced riders (Grade 3). The journey begins with a helicopter flight from the Kaimanawa Alpine Adventures base to the trailhead on the Patutu Tops (1673m). From there\, the first 15km takes you through sweeping Kaimanawa alpine tussock country\, with breathtaking views across the Central Plateau and the volcanic peaks of Tongariro National Park. The final 8km winds down through pristine native mountain beech forest\, finishing right back at our base on Waipakihi Road.
